Should Xmas Be Celebrated

The Bible never commands us to celebrate Yuletide or observe any other festival purportedly borrowed from ancient Pagans. Are we able to then, as proponents of Jesus Christ indulge in an increasingly commercialized and secular Holiday?It is right that many Pagan Holidays took place in the month of December. Almost all the states surrounding the Mediterranean Sea held holidays celebrating the Winter Solstice. The Winter Solstice according to the Julian calendar was December 25th.

It is indeed fact that by selecting December 25th, the Church selected a date where worship of fake deities was performed. What is often misstated or wholly ignored is the Churches intent in selecting this date. The Church by choosing the solstice was able to line up a holiday to rival the Pagan holidays, which has just about totally eradicated the celebrations to these fake Gods. The bible never immediately states that we are to commemorate the birth of our Lord.
