Origami Ornaments $6.99 Origami Ornaments is based on the design of traditional Japanese Kusudama ceremonial spheres. But the Japanese designs regularly require the use of glue to hold several parts together. Lew Rozelle has designed four basic models – base, joiner, clip, and hinge – which can be folded together, hanging in lovely globe or lantern shapes, thus remaining true to origami purist standards. Folded out of colorful paper, the ornaments can be made small enough to hang on a Christmas tree or large enough to hold aromatic potpourri. As the ornaments rest they will open gently, like flowers, but still not come apart. Also included are instructions for incorporating string for hanging as well as tassels into the design – a lovely finishing touch. There are no limits to the number of unique ornaments you can make from the four basic models. Try using various wrapping paper patterns and colored paper – the possibilities are endless. Origami Ornaments is the perfect book for holiday crafters and origami enthusiasts alike. |

Why Do We Require To Celebrate Xmas
The Bible never commands us to celebrate Xmas or observe any other holiday allegedly borrowed from traditional Pagans. Are we able to then, as fans of Jesus Christ luxuriate in an increasingly exploited and mundane Holiday? It is true that many Pagan Holidays occurred in the month of December. Nearly all the countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea held festivals celebrating the Winter Solstice. The Winter Solstice according to the Julian calendar was December 25th.
It is indeed fact that by choosing December 25th, the Church chose a date where worship of fake deities was performed. What is often misstated or entirely ignored is the Churches intention in choosing this date. The Church by choosing the solstice was able to line up a festival to rival the Pagan festivals, that has almost completely eradicated the celebrations to these fake Gods. The bible never immediately states that we are to commemorate the birth of our Lord.
Not like the Ten Commandments which are explicit, A few individuals believe their is an implicit directive to celebrate Jesus birth. These are some evidence of the Angels ' response to the arrival of the Christ in Luke ; Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." Luke 2:13-14 NIV The Angelic Host, after having informed the watchful shepherds of the incarnation of the Savior and the way to recognise Him broke into a song of praise and blessing.
The Sheppard's react in much the same demeanour after seeing the Christ child as Luke records ; The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they'd heard and seen, which were just as they'd been told. Luke 2:20 NIVThese impromptu acts of worship actually qualify as a celebration of the birth of the Christ. The commercialisation of Yuletide is certainly a fact. All one desires do is look around them, from TV and radio, to mags and store front adverts, we are snowed under with sales spiels. We are told that we must have the latest and best thing.
This type of party of Yuletide would be idolatrous. Our party of Yuletide should take on the attitude of the Angels and shepherds. As Christians our party must be one of awe, wonder, gratitude and joy. Our party is to be a steady daily party of one of the best moments in redemptive history. Till He comes again we should celebrated His first incarnation in a way suggest by an unknown song writer in round the eleventh or twelfth century.
